Honoring our Veterans and their Families this November

Earlier this week, Governor Arnold I. Palacios and Lt. Governor David M. Apatang proclaimed November 2023 as CNMI Veterans and Military Families Month, and the week of November 7-11, 2023, as CNMI Veteran’s Week. To emphasize the importance of the sacrifices that veterans and military families make, the proclamation serves as a reminder to continue to acknowledge, thank and honor veterans’ selfless service to our country.

November has always been a time to recognize the tremendous sacrifices that military members and their families have made and continue to make. Our Commonwealth has over 1,000 service members and veterans, each with their own family and unique story. Since 1996, military families began to receive recognition for the sacrifices they also make when they send their loved ones off to serve.
