If you are a homeowner residing on Saipan, Tinian, or Rota and plan on replacing inefficient home appliances with ones that are Energy-efficient or Energy Star rated to save on your energy bill, you should contact the Energy Division Office at 670-664-4480/2 to verify if you are eligible to receive appliance rebate vouchers to help you defray the total cost of replacement appliances such as refrigerators, clothes washers, and or room air-conditioners. Certain conditions may apply.
On Saturday, March 04, 2023, Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) providers completed the virtual training on Emergency Preparedness and Recovery Planning. This training was facilitated by Evergreen Learning coach, Russelle Mae M. The Commonwealth Bureau of Military Affairs, in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI), intends to solicit assistance at no cost from the Department of Defense’s Innovative Readiness Training Program for the following community projects:
WHEREAS, in 1977, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution calling on member states to proclaim a day for women’s rights and international peace and following the United Nations’ lead, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands proclaim March 2023 as CNMI Women’s Month and March 8, 2023 as International Women’s Day; and,
WHEREAS, There are more than 6,000,000 individuals with developmental disabilities that reside in the US mainland and its territories. These individuals have the same hopes and dreams as all CNMI residents – to be self-determined, work and earn a living, practice their faith, and be included in their community; and,
Lieutenant Governor David M. Apatang, together with Delbert T. Pua, Special Assistant for the Office of Youth Affairs, recently proclaimed October 2024 as Youth Empowerment Month. The proclamation was made in the presence of members of the Legislature, Cabinet officials, and community partners, all united in their commitment to improving the lives of our youth.
