Office of the Governor Takes Part in Man Åmku’ Takeover Day

As part of Older Americans Month activities, the Office of the Governor congratulated and welcomed Honorary Governor Ana Nakatsukasa and Honorary Lt. Governor Genia Draper to the Governor’s Office as part of Man Åmku’ Takeover Day.



Honorary Governor Nakatsukasa and Honorary Lt. Governor Draper had a chance to visit the offices of the Governor and Lt. Governor, toured the Juan A. Sablan Building, and visited the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), Capital Improvement Project – Hazard Mitigation Program, the Special Assistant for Administration, and the Office of the Attorney General.

Recently, Governor Arnold I. Palacios and Lt. Governor David M. Apatang proclaimed the month of May 2023 as Older Americans Month, also known as Mes Man Åmku’ and Marameer Tuufey, with this year’s theme, “Aging Unbound.”


Governor Palacios and Lt. Governor Apatang expressed their appreciation for our man åmku’, and encouraged the community to help create an inclusive society with our older citizens and accept the challenge of flexible thinking around aging.

Empowering the Youth, Shaping the Future

Lieutenant Governor David M. Apatang, together with Delbert T. Pua, Special Assistant for the Office of Youth Affairs, recently proclaimed October 2024 as Youth Empowerment Month. The proclamation was made in the presence of members of the Legislature, Cabinet officials, and community partners, all united in their commitment to improving the lives of our youth.
