As part of its commitment to bolster the CNMI’s local healthcare workforce, Northern Marianas College cut the ribbon for its new Health Simulation Center earlier this week. The center will be an addition to the campus and an integral part of the nursing and allied health programs. The center features high-quality patient mannequins in a simulated hospital room, equipped with a control room for instructors to monitor student performance.
With access to this new simulation center, nursing students will be able to learn and practice necessary skills for their profession, and a nursing education at NMC is more comprehensive because of it.
Attended by Governor Arnold I. Palacios and other dignitaries, the event marks a momentous occasion for NMC’s Nursing department. In her remarks, NMC Nursing Department Chair Rosa Aldan explained that the new simulation center will allow nursing students to become even more skilled at their craft and mentioned the potential for them to save more lives and better assist the community with this new resource.
