March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month

Governor Arnold I. Palacios recently proclaimed March as Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. During the proclamation, he was joined by representatives of the CNMI Cancer Association, who highlighted the importance of colorectal health. Colorectal cancer is the 3rd leading cause of cancer deaths for Asians and Pacific Islanders in the United States.

Governor Palacios encourages everyone to take proactive steps, such as maintaining a healthy lifestyle, getting regular screenings, and being vigilant in self-assessing for any unusual symptoms. He also reminded residents to prioritize their health and well-being by staying informed and proactive.

Empowering the Youth, Shaping the Future

Lieutenant Governor David M. Apatang, together with Delbert T. Pua, Special Assistant for the Office of Youth Affairs, recently proclaimed October 2024 as Youth Empowerment Month. The proclamation was made in the presence of members of the Legislature, Cabinet officials, and community partners, all united in their commitment to improving the lives of our youth.
