The Growing Brain:Training for Child Care Providers

On July 29, 2023, 10 child care providers from REQ and Smart Start I and II completed the training series on The Growing Brain: From Birth to 5 Years Old. These training sessions were facilitated by Evergreen Learning Training and Development Specialist, Grace M. Mallari, from June 24 to July 29, 2023.

The Growing Brain: From Birth to 5 Years Old is an innovative professional development opportunity that provides a toolkit on how the brain develops, along with ways you can encourage healthy brain development in children from birth to 5 years old.

This training series covered – in depth – the fields of “affective neuroscience” (the science of emotions and the brain), factors and experiences that harm the growing brain, and the connections between the brain, language development and sensory functioning.

On behalf of the Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) Program, and Evergreen Learning, the CNMI Brain Builders Team extends its congratulations to Amaleene Ramos, Michael Angelo Suazo, Mea Lots Jagorin, Daziel Maog, Ruby Rosario Legaspi, Mariecris A. Cabrera, Anabel N. Samson, Juvy D. Balleta, Estelita G. Relata, and  Gladys Angeles for successfully completing The Growing Brain: From Birth to 5 Years Old training series. This training is available through CCDF’s Science of Early Learning Initiative, also known as CNMI Brain Builders. It is made possible through funding from the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Child Care, and the CNMI CCDF Program under the Department of Community and Cultural Affairs.
