Rota’s Heritage Shines with New Projects

On Friday, Governor Arnold I. Palacios was proud to join the Rota leadership and members of the community to unveil two significant projects that enhance both the cultural heritage and natural beauty of Rota.

The revitalization of Pona Point will include a new pavilion and safety railings, ensuring a safer and more enjoyable experience for visitors. Meanwhile, the unveiling of the new Taga statue and sculptures honors Rota’s rich history and traditions.

Governor Palacios extends his heartfelt gratitude to the Rota leadership for their dedication and to Administrator Epi Cabrera and his team at OGM-SC for their hard work in securing and overseeing these projects. Their commitment ensures that Rota’s cultural heritage is preserved while enhancing public spaces for residents and visitors alike.

Lieutenant Governor David M. Apatang, together with Delbert T. Pua, Special Assistant for the Office of Youth Affairs, recently proclaimed October 2024 as Youth Empowerment Month.
