Cancelation of Tropical Storm Conditions for Rota Anticipated at 11:00am
‘All Clear’ for Rota Anticipated at 2:00pm, Nov. 13
(CNMI Office of the Governor) – As Tropical Storm Man-yi tracks away from the CNMI, Governor Arnold I. Palacios has CANCELED tropical storm conditions for the islands of Saipan and Tinian. Tropical Storm Condition I is maintained for Rota, however, it is anticipated that the Condition I status will be canceled at 11:00am, today.
In addition, the ‘All Clear’ for Saipan and Tinian is anticipated to be declared at 11:00am today, while the ‘All Clear’ for Rota is anticipated to be declared later this afternoon at 2:00pm.
The cancellation of conditions for the islands means that damaging winds associated with Tropical Storm Man-yi are not expected. However, despite Tropical Storm Man-yi moving away, all residents should maintain precautionary measures and expect strong gusty winds and heavy rain showers associated with feeder band activity from tail winds of the tropical storm.

The direction, speed, intensification rate, and other attributes of the storm may still change. We will continue to monitor the movement of the storm, consult with the National Weather Service and other agencies, and provide updates when available and when appropriate.
