CNMI Governor Arnold Palacios last week met with Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike, who had invited Palacios to be part of the City Leaders Program held in conjunction with the Sustainable High City Tech Tokyo 2024 Summit.
The largest city on the globe, the Tokyo metropolitan area is home to a population of about 37 million people. During the meeting, the governors talked about Japanese tourism, investment opportunities in the CNMI, and expanding collaborative and partnership opportunities.
While in Japan, Governor Palacios also participated in the Marianas Visitors Authority-led Marianas Seminar which brought together representatives from tour agencies, airlines, and other industry partners to promote the CNMI as a destination.
