Raising Awareness: February Declared Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month

Recently, Governor Arnold I. Palacios and PSS Commissioner Lawrence Camacho joined the Northern Marianas Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence (NMCADSV) in designating February 2025 as Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. 

The signing of the proclamation took place at  Francisco M. Sablan Middle School with student officers from local schools and members from various agencies in attendance, highlighting the community’s united commitment to raising awareness. In his remarks Governor Palacios emphasized the importance of addressing teen dating violence and reinforced that prevention is a shared responsibility within our Commonwealth.

Empowering the Youth, Shaping the Future

Lieutenant Governor David M. Apatang, together with Delbert T. Pua, Special Assistant for the Office of Youth Affairs, recently proclaimed October 2024 as Youth Empowerment Month. The proclamation was made in the presence of members of the Legislature, Cabinet officials, and community partners, all united in their commitment to improving the lives of our youth.
