Promoting the Growth and Well being of our Children

Last week, then Acting Governor David M. Apatang proclaimed the month of June as “CNMI Children Matter Month” at the Governor Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center in Susupe.

Joining the Acting were Acting Secretary of Community and Cultural Affairs Vivian T. Sablan, Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) Acting Administrator Genevieve Deleon Guerrero, Congressman TJ Manglona, who was the tribute speaker, and partnering childcare and children-focused agencies.

Acting Governor Apatang encouraged all residents to come together in fostering an environment that promotes the growth, development, and well-being of our children. The proclamation affirms the commitment to the children of the CNMI to ensure they are protected and that we strive to be a society that cherishes and uplifts every child.

Empowering the Youth, Shaping the Future

Lieutenant Governor David M. Apatang, together with Delbert T. Pua, Special Assistant for the Office of Youth Affairs, recently proclaimed October 2024 as Youth Empowerment Month. The proclamation was made in the presence of members of the Legislature, Cabinet officials, and community partners, all united in their commitment to improving the lives of our youth.
