Child Care Providers Attend the Health and Safety Training on Building and Physical Premises Safety

On July 22, 2023, four (4) ongoing and four (4) new teachers attended a two-hour health and safety training on Building and Physical Premises Safety including identification and protection from hazards that can cause bodily injury such as electrical hazards, bodies of water and vehicular traffic. This remote training was facilitated by Evergreen Learning Quality Care Specialist, Maricar Peña.

The new federal requirements of the Child Care Development Block Grant Act of 2014 (CCDBG) state that all providers receiving Child Care Development funds must implement health and safety provisions that address the building and physical premises in a child care setting.

This training is made possible through funding from the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Child Care, and the CNMI CCDF Program under the Department of Community and Cultural Affairs.
