The CNMI Department of Labor (DOL) – Division of Employment Services (DES) is providing updates regarding job vacancy announcement (JVA) data trends. The division plans to issue ensuing reports on a quarterly and annual basis. 

DPL places moratorium on Tinian Agricultural Homestead Program

The Department of Public Lands (DPL) has announced that a moratorium on the issuance and/or acceptance of homestead applications under the Tinian Agricultural Homestead Program, effective today, April 27, 2023. There are currently over 422 pending agricultural applications received by DPL; however, because of the reduced availability of public lands, DPL will be assessing the availability of public lands for agricultural homestead purposes. This Notice allows DPL additional time to seek and explore suitable areas for agricultural activities for future accommodations.

Empowering the Youth, Shaping the Future

Lieutenant Governor David M. Apatang, together with Delbert T. Pua, Special Assistant for the Office of Youth Affairs, recently proclaimed October 2024 as Youth Empowerment Month. The proclamation was made in the presence of members of the Legislature, Cabinet officials, and community partners, all united in their commitment to improving the lives of our youth.
