Governor Palacios Receives Courtesy Visit from JARRWC

In an ongoing effort to recover and repatriate Japanese war remains in the Commonwealth, Governor Arnold I. Palacios and Honorary Governor Ana Nakatsukasa earlier today received a courtesy visit from the Japanese Association for Recovery & Repatriation of War Casualties (JARRWC) during their third trip to the CNMI.

As part of Older Americans Month activities, the Office of the Governor congratulated and welcomed Honorary Governor Ana Nakatsukasa and Honorary Lt. Governor Genia Draper to the Governor’s Office as part of Man Åmku’ Takeover Day.

Office of the Governor, First Lady Wella S. Palacios, and CNMI Women’s Affairs Office Present Gift Baskets for Mother’s Day

In anticipation of Mother’s Day and the spirit of bringing joy and awareness of the positive impact mothers have in our lives, the CNMI Office of the Governor, First Lady Wella S. Palacios, and the CNMI Office of Women’s Affairs presented gift baskets to Karidat Social Services, Department of Corrections, and the Substance Abuse, Addiction, and Rehabilitation (SAAR) HOPE Recovery Center.

These gift baskets will be distributed to the mothers utilizing the services of those respective departments and organizations. 

Division of Land Registration and Survey to Relocate to San Vicente

The Division of Land Registration and Survey under the CNMI Department of Lands and Natural Resources is informing the public that its offices will be closed from May 15 – 19, 2023 as staff will be transitioning to their new office at the San Vicente Youth Center.

Empowering the Youth, Shaping the Future

Lieutenant Governor David M. Apatang, together with Delbert T. Pua, Special Assistant for the Office of Youth Affairs, recently proclaimed October 2024 as Youth Empowerment Month. The proclamation was made in the presence of members of the Legislature, Cabinet officials, and community partners, all united in their commitment to improving the lives of our youth.
