March 2024 is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month

Last week, the CNMI Developmental Disabilities Council joined Governor Arnold I. Palacios as he proclaimed March 2024 as Developmental Disabilities Month.

Governor Palacios remarked that Developmental Disabilities Month is an opportune time to recognize and acknowledge the important contributions of our citizens with disabilities. It is also a time to meaningfully advance the message of embracing diversity, breaking barriers, and fostering inclusion.

He encouraged everyone to help raise awareness and to fully support efforts toward enabling people with developmental disabilities to live productive lives.
