February 2024 is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month

Governor Arnold I. Palacios and Lt. Governor David M. Apatang, along with Northern Marianas Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence Director Maisie B. Tenorio and community partners, designated February 2024 as Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month.

In the proclamation, Governor Palacios and Lt. Governor Apatang urge the community to actively participate in putting an end to teen dating violence. They emphasized the importance of raising awareness about abuse in teenage relationships and reiterated the crucial message that preventing dating violence, particularly among the youth in our Commonwealth, is a community effort.

Lieutenant Governor David M. Apatang, together with Delbert T. Pua, Special Assistant for the Office of Youth Affairs, recently proclaimed October 2024 as Youth Empowerment Month. The proclamation was made in the presence of members of the Legislature, Cabinet officials, and community partners, all united in their commitment to improving the lives of our youth.
