Update on Department of Labor Online Portal Maintenance

The CNMI Department of Labor (Department) is providing the general public with the progress of its vendor’s online portal maintenance for the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) and Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) federal programs.

On Saturday, July 9, 2022, the Department attended a third “Restoration Update” by its online vendor Geographic Solutions Incorporated (GSI). GSI detected “anomalous activity” on its network and immediately ceased online access to clients across the nation.

GSI stated that the CNMI’s HireMarianas Portal would be functioning as usual no more than 2 days after the Third Restoration Update. On Wednesday, July 17, GSI indicated that a Domain Name System (DNS) Registrar issue is the cause of the delayed relaunch of the portal and should be resolved within 24 to 48 hours.

While the maintenance process limits access to virtual records, the public is advised that  individuals may still register in-person at the Department of Labor building #1353 Mednilla Ave, Capitol Hill, Saipan.

Contact the Department for PUA-related inquiries at tel. 670-322-8870/8871/8872/8873 or via email at info@puamarianas.com. For WIOA-related inquiries contact tel. 670-664-1708/1717 or via email at cnmiwioa@dol.gov.mp.
