Scuba diving shops and businesses allowed to operate; Grotto remains closed

With approved guidance from the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation (CHCC), the Governor’s COVID-19 Task Force announced this weekend that scuba diving shops and businesses are now open at all designated Marianas dive sites on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota, except for the Grotto.

The Grotto remains closed until further notice, pursuant to Directive 14 of the CNMI COVID-19 Emergency Directives of 2020.

The Task Force and CHCC advise divers and instructors to practice social distancing during travel on the boat ride to the designated dive sites, as well as continuing good hygiene before and after diving activities.
