This abuse can occur in the form of physical, verbal, emotional, sexual, and economic control. Batterers often use multiple tactics such as isolation, intimidation, sexual, and physical assault, forced substance abuse, insults, threatening, and excessive monitoring to control and manipulate victims and survivors; and

On Wednesday, September 28, 2022, a total of 11 Directors and Leaders from Gana Day Care Center, Golden Harvest International School and Day Care Center, Northern Marianas International School, Pure Love, and R & EQ Day/Night Child Care Center completed the Mind in the Making Training Modules, which include the Seven Essential Life Skills.

Throughout the month of September 2022, the CNMI Brain Builders Team completed a series of Café sessions focusing on the parents and families of children enrolled in Child Care Centers, including Tinian.

WHEREAS, the United States Congress and the President of the United States have designated the day of the annual National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service as a day to honor firefighters and emergency services personnel who have sacrificed their lives to save others by lowering the American flag on all federal buildings to half-staff; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services is committed to ensuring the safety and security of all those living in and visiting our island; and

A successful three-hour remote training on Family Engagement Module 2: Gathering and Sharing Child Assessment Data was conducted on September 10, 2022 to ten different child care programs and directors in Saipan, CNMI. The training was facilitated by Russelle Mae Ignacio, Evergreen Learning Coach together with Grace Mallari, Evergreen Learning Training and Development Specialist. 

The CNMI Department of Labor’s (DOL) Workforce Investment Agency renewed its agreement with the Hawai’i Job Corps during a site visit to the Waimanalo Center. The signing was witnessed by the CNMI DOL and Finance, who also attended the Workforce Convening with USDOL Region 6 and Waimanalo Center staff.
