Update on Fisheries Assistance Part 2

Governor Ralph DLG. Torres and the Office of Grants Management & State Clearinghouse would like to update those individuals and businesses that have applied for the CARES Act Fishermen Relief Assistance Program Part 2, especially as concerns were raised by the community regarding the release of checks.  

Proclamation – Domestic Violence Awareness Month – October 2022

WHEREAS, Domestic violence is a pattern of abusive behavior that one intimate partner – current or former – uses to gain and maintain control over another. This abuse can occur in the form of physical, verbal, emotional, sexual, and economic control. Batterers often use multiple tactics such as isolation, intimidation, sexual, and physical assault, forced substance abuse, insults, threatening, and excessive monitoring to control and manipulate victims and survivors; and 

CCDF Cohort 2 – Partner Agency completes Mind in the Making Training

On Monday, September 19, 2022, the CNMI Child Care Development Fund Program (CCDF), in partnership with Evergreen Learning, completed a series of training sessions with its Cohort 2 – Partner Agency, CHCC- Home Visiting Program for the CNMI Brain Buildersâ„¢ – Science of Early Learning initiative.

Proclamation – National Fallen Firefighters Day – October 9, 2022

WHEREAS, the United States Congress and the President of the United States have designated the day of the annual National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service as a day to honor firefighters and emergency services personnel who have sacrificed their lives to save others by lowering the American flag on all federal buildings to half-staff; and

Child Care Programs attend Family Engagement: Gathering and Sharing Child Assessment Data Training

A successful three-hour remote training on Family Engagement Module 2: Gathering and Sharing Child Assessment Data was conducted on September 10, 2022 to ten different child care programs and directors in Saipan, CNMI. The training was facilitated by Russelle Mae Ignacio, Evergreen Learning Coach together with Grace Mallari, Evergreen Learning Training and Development Specialist.

Empowering the Youth, Shaping the Future

Lieutenant Governor David M. Apatang, together with Delbert T. Pua, Special Assistant for the Office of Youth Affairs, recently proclaimed October 2024 as Youth Empowerment Month. The proclamation was made in the presence of members of the Legislature, Cabinet officials, and community partners, all united in their commitment to improving the lives of our youth.
