CNMI acquires 60,000 COVID-19 test kits; receives first 20,000

Governor Ralph DLG. Torres, the Governor’s COVID-19 Task Force, and the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation (CHCC) announced on Tuesday that the CNMI has received the first 20,000 COVID-19 test kits that it purchased from South Korea.

COTA to receive over $1 million in assistance for COVID-19 response

The Commonwealth Office of Transit Authority (COTA) under the Office of the Governor is set to receive over $1 million in Federal Transit Administration grants to assist with response efforts to the COVID-19 outbreak, according to the Special Assistant for Public Transportation, Ms. Alfreda P. Camacho. 

Marine water quality report for the week of April 10, 2020

The Bureau of Environmental and Coastal Quality (BECQ) analyzes water samples collected from 85 beaches and storm drainages on Saipan, Tinian, Rota and Managaha islands as part of a regularly scheduled sampling program. These samples are analyzed to determine if they contain excessive concentration of fecal indicator bacteria and meet CNMI Water Quality Standards.
