The Department of Finance would like to notify the general public that the anticipated issuance of the third stimulus checks this week has been delayed due to an unusually lengthy approval process of the implementation plan by the US Department of the Treasury.

The Governor’s COVID-19 Task Force and the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation (CHCC) would like to inform the public that four (4) additional individuals have been confirmed positive for COVID-19. 154 people have been confirmed positive for COVID-19 in the CNMI since March 28, 2020. Within the recently identified community cluster, a total of eight (8) individuals have been confirmed positive for COVID-19.

On Saturday, September 12, 2020 the Department of Lands and Natural Resources (DLNR) received a critical tip regarding possible infestation of the coconut rhinoceros beetles (CRB) in the Gagani and Talakhaya areas of Rota.
