CNMI awarded more than $1.7 million for energy projects

On Wednesday, Assistant Secretary for Insular and International Affairs Doug Domenech informed Governor Ralph DLG. Torres that the Department of the Interior has awarded $1,706,075 in Fiscal Year 2020 grant funding through the Office of Insular Affairs’ Energizing Insular Communities (EIC) program Capital Improvement Project (CIP) funding for the CNMI.

COTA awarded $351,000 under FTA Emergency Relief Program

Governor Ralph DLG. Torres and Lt. Governor Arnold I. Palacios announced on Thursday that the Commonwealth Office of Transit Authority (COTA) was awarded $351,000 under the Federal Transit Authority (FTA) Emergency Relief Program for transit systems affected by major disasters that occurred in 2018.

CNMI Government looking to revive motocross park

Finance to release $1.7 million in retroactive payments for retirees

Governor Ralph DLG. Torres and Lt. Governor Arnold I. Palacios announced on Thursday that the Department of Finance is set to release $1,735,837.71 in retroactive payments next week for retirees to cover payrolls on April 15, April 30, and May 15, 2020.

Sailor Deployed to Tinian Tests Positive for COVID-19

The Governor’s COVID-19 Task Force and the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation (CHCC) announced on Wednesday that a sailor deployed to Tinian from Guam as part of a team of the Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (Seabees) supporting a survey for the Tinian port construction project tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, September 1, 2020.
