Veteran town hall meetings to continue on January 6, 2022

Governor Ralph DLG. Torres, through the CNMI Office of the Governor and the CNMI Office of Veterans Affairs, invites all veterans residing on Saipan to a series of veteran town hall meetings to discuss issues of concern for veterans and military families.

Governor Torres announces premium pay for CNMI government employees

Governor Ralph DLG. Torres officially announced on Wednesday that the Department of Finance is set to release premium pay for CNMI government employees who have worked at least forty (40) hours to directly mitigate the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as CNMI government employees who have worked to provide public services since the pandemic began.

EDA awards $1 million to OPD under Statewide Planning Grant Program

Governor Ralph DLG. Torres announced on Thursday that the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) awarded $1 million to the CNMI Office of Planning and Development under the CNMI Office of the Governor. The grant funding will be utilized for CNMI initiatives for economic revitalization, recovery, and growth, and support work that builds on the CNMI’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy priorities and ongoing Comprehensive Sustainable Development Plan implementation efforts to enable the CNMI to assess and implement opportunities to diversify the economy and invest in critical planning and capacity building needs.

Lieutenant Governor David M. Apatang, together with Delbert T. Pua, Special Assistant for the Office of Youth Affairs, recently proclaimed October 2024 as Youth Empowerment Month. The proclamation was made in the presence of members of the Legislature, Cabinet officials, and community partners, all united in their commitment to improving the lives of our youth.
