CNMI OSHA On-Site Consultation Program Conducts Confined Space Awareness Training with University of California, San Diego

The University of California San Diego (UCSD), in partnership with CNMI OSHA conducted 5 Confined Space trainings across over the course of 3 days at the American Memorial Park Auditorium, March 21-23, 2022. 

There were over 60 participants from both the private and public sector. The purpose of the course was to educate workers and employers of the hazards that come with working in and around confined spaces and the importance of a company’s Rescue Plan. 

OSHA On-Site Consultation Program Manager, Tim Asaivao, said “The reception by the participants was positive and encouraging, in spite of the challenges they continue to face since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.” Asaivao added, “CNMI OSHA’s consultation program can assist with hazard identification and proper abatement techniques.”
