Celebrating Arbor Month

Governor Arnold I. Palacios and Lt. Governor David M. Apatang, in partnership with the CNMI Division of Agriculture, proudly proclaimed October 1st as CNMI Arbor Day and the entire month of October 2024 as Arbor Month in the Commonwealth.

Governor Palacios commended the dedication and hard work of the Division of Agriculture staff, recognizing their efforts to restore and enhance the island’s natural beauty. He highlighted their significant progress in cultivating Flame Tree saplings, which will replace trees removed during infrastructure improvements—a task personally entrusted to them by both the Governor and Lt. Governor.
