Acting Governor Hofschneider signs $1 million appropriation into law

This afternoon, Acting Governor Jude U. Hofschneider signed into law, House Local Bill No. 22-23, S1, “To appropriate the sum of $1,000,000.00 from the exclusive gaming annual license fees allotted to the First Senatorial District under 4 CMC section 2307 (a); and for other purposes.” Introduced by Representative Donald M. Manglona, House Local Bill 22-23, S1 unanimously passed the Rota Legislative Delegation on December 9, 2021, and is now Rota Local Law No. 22-4.

Lieutenant Governor David M. Apatang, together with Delbert T. Pua, Special Assistant for the Office of Youth Affairs, recently proclaimed October 2024 as Youth Empowerment Month. The proclamation was made in the presence of members of the Legislature, Cabinet officials, and community partners, all united in their commitment to improving the lives of our youth.
